Building an AI School That Takes the Work Seriously

Synaptica was founded on a straightforward idea: people learn AI development best by building things, getting feedback, and repeating the cycle.

Who We Are

Synaptica, Phuket

Synaptica was established in Phuket with one intention: to offer structured, honest AI development education online. The name comes from the biological synapse — the connection point where signals pass, strengthen, and become knowledge. That metaphor guides how every course is built.

The school runs three distinct tracks, each designed for a specific entry point. The beginner track starts from the very basics of writing code. The intermediate track moves into building and testing machine learning models. The mentored programme takes motivated students through a full portfolio project with regular one-to-one sessions.

All three are delivered online, with materials that students work through at their own pace, supported by scheduled community sessions and — at the higher levels — direct mentor feedback.

What Drives Us

Honest progression

Each track has clear entry requirements and a defined scope. No inflated promises about what a short course can deliver.

Work before theory

Modules are structured so students write code, train models, or build components before they read lengthy explanations.

Feedback that improves

Reviews are specific to the student's actual work, not generic comments copied from a template.

The Core Team

A small group of practitioners who design the curriculum, run the sessions, and review student work.

NK

Natthida Kanchai

Curriculum Lead

Designs the learning sequences and builds the project briefs used across all three tracks. Background in applied machine learning research.

PP

Pakorn Phrommanat

Senior Mentor

Leads one-to-one mentor sessions for the Portfolio Programme. Has spent several years building data pipelines and model deployment workflows.

SR

Sunisa Ratanakul

Student Experience

Manages the community forum, session scheduling, and enrolment queries. Keeps the learning environment organised and responsive.

How We Maintain Quality

Standards that apply to every course, not just the flagship programme.

Reviewed Curriculum

Course content is reviewed every intake cycle against current tools and practices in the AI development field.

Data Privacy

Student data is handled in line with applicable Thai data protection requirements. We collect only what is needed for programme delivery.

Structured Feedback

Every project submission receives written feedback against the module criteria, not a generic score.

Iterative Updates

Modules are updated based on aggregate student feedback gathered at the end of each cohort.

Cohort Size Limits

Mentored programme cohorts are capped to maintain a manageable mentor-to-student ratio and session quality.

Secure Platform

Course materials and student submissions are hosted on encrypted infrastructure with controlled access.

AI Development Education in Southeast Asia

Phuket sits at a useful intersection — a growing digital economy, proximity to international learners across the region, and an increasingly connected workforce looking to develop technical capabilities. Synaptica was set up here because it is a practical base for an online school serving students across Thailand and beyond.

The three programmes — introductory coding, machine learning application, and mentored portfolio development — are sequenced to allow a student to progress from no coding knowledge to a demonstrable portfolio over a reasonable period of consistent study. Each track is self-contained and can be taken independently depending on prior experience.

Synaptica does not describe itself as a shortcut. Building usable AI skills takes practice, iteration, and honest feedback. What the school provides is a structure that makes that process more organised and the feedback more specific than self-directed study typically allows.
