Three Tracks, One Clear Direction: Working AI Skills
Each programme is designed around a specific starting point and a defined output — whether that's your first running model or a complete portfolio project.
← Back to HomeOur Teaching Approach
All three programmes share a common methodology — build first, explain second, iterate with feedback.
Build Something Small
Every module opens with a constrained build task. You produce something before you read any extended theory.
Read With Context
Explanations follow the build so you are reading about concepts you have already encountered, not preparing for ones you haven't.
Revise With Feedback
Submissions receive specific written comments. You revise where needed, which is how improvement actually works.
First Steps in AI Coding
A welcoming beginner course covering programming and core AI ideas through short, guided builds. Each week introduces a single concept and a corresponding small project — a script, a function, a simple classifier. No prior coding knowledge expected.
- Python basics: variables, loops, functions, data structures
- Introduction to working with data using pandas
- Your first classification model, built step by step
- Community forum access and weekly Q&A session
- 6-week duration at 4–6 hours per week
Programme Steps
Environment setup and first Python script
Data types, control flow, and simple functions
Loading and exploring a real dataset with pandas
Training and evaluating your first ML model
Practical Machine Learning
An intermediate, project-based course focused on building and testing models with hands-on datasets. Each module works through a different problem type — regression, classification, clustering — using data that has real messiness to it rather than pre-cleaned examples.
- Supervised and unsupervised learning methods
- Feature engineering and data cleaning workflows
- Model selection, cross-validation, and evaluation metrics
- Peer code review sessions included
- 8-week duration at 5–7 hours per week
Programme Steps
Data loading, exploration, and cleaning
Feature engineering and pipeline construction
Model training, tuning, and cross-validation
Written project submission with peer review
Mentored Portfolio Programme
A mentored programme with a capstone project, regular feedback sessions, and portfolio development support from experienced practitioners. Students propose a project topic in week one and build toward a documented, presentable outcome over 12 weeks.
- One-to-one mentor check-in sessions
- Capstone project with defined milestones
- Portfolio write-up support and review
- Line-level code review on all submissions
- 12-week duration with capped cohort size
Programme Steps
Project scoping, dataset selection, and plan sign-off
Build phase with two mentor check-ins
Review and revision based on written code feedback
Portfolio write-up, documentation, and final review

Standards Across All Programmes
These apply regardless of which track you enrol in.
Secure Student Data
All student information is stored on encrypted servers. Access is limited to the specific staff member managing your enrolment.
Cohort Review Cycle
Course content is evaluated after each cohort ends. Feedback leads to concrete revisions before the next intake opens.
Responsive Support
Enquiries and enrolment questions answered within one business day. No automated response chains for substantive questions.
Open-Source Toolchain
Every tool taught in the curriculum is open-source. No proprietary software required to complete any module.
Clear Entry Requirements
Each track publishes its entry requirements openly. If you are unsure about fit, we assess your background before recommending enrolment.
Written Submission Criteria
Every assignment has a written brief with defined evaluation criteria. You know before you start what a satisfactory submission looks like.
